Alpacas

We are very excited about our foundation girls from Bozedown Alpacas.

The day after they arrived from Bozedown and all still in the barn at this point:

Bozedown Saraid attracted our attention when we saw a photograph of her gorgeous daughter Bozedown New Horizon.  That young lady has already been shown by her breeders and has achieved a number of show successes including Reserve Champion Huacaya Fawn Female at the Spring Alpaca Fiesta 2010,  the South of England Show 2010, and the British Alpaca Futurity 2010. Saraid has now produced another lovely light fawn female cria for us.

Dorota of Bozedown has an amazing record of producing quality cria including Bozedown Super Nova and has already produced a quality light fawn female cria for us.

Bozedown Fiona is a beautiful white female with fine fleece and excellent conformation.  We are very pleased with her white female cria.

Bozedown Spice is our light fawn girl.  As a maiden this year she is proving an excellent mother and has a very fine fleece which appears to be repeated in her first cria, a light fawn male.

We also have a small wether flock to keep the cria company at weaning time and who also guard the lambs each spring.

Bozedown Ranger, a son of Bozedown Tudor.  We are very excited about this handsome white boy.

By Bozedown Tudor out of Dierdre of Bozedown and born on 15th June 2008 his fibre statistics are impressive with a beautiful soft handling fleece, excellent density and very low medullation.  For the technically minded the following results were achieved on 18th May 2009 when he was 11 months of age: 20.84µ  SD 3.89  CV 18.70%  1.40% Over 30 Microns(µ).
